Patricia Morrison Davis obituary
1939-2017
Portland, OR

Patricia, "Pat," "Fuzzy Mom," Morrison Davis, 77, died on Jan. 1, 2017 at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro. She died of complications related to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Davis, with whom she spent 32 wonderful years. Pat was born on May 28, 1939 in West Chester, Pa. to the late William J. and Ina Morrison of Kennett Square, Pa. She was a graduate of Kennett Square High School, class of 1956, and also attended Penn State University. She was a dedicated and tireless homemaker who turned her keen interest in antiques into a business as an antique dealer and certified appraiser. She also enjoyed a second career with Cuisinart. Pat had many passions. In her early years she spent long hours perfecting her figure skating skills. She loved exploring new lands, trying new foods, and meeting interesting people from all over the world. In the early 1980's, Pat and her family hosted an exchange student from Belgium for a year and this relationship flourished until her passing. She was a supporter of the arts and a long-time patron of the Philadelphia and Kennett Symphony Orchestras. In her later years she enjoyed quilting, spending time on the Oregon coast, cruises, and visiting with family. At the end of the day, Pat enjoyed a calming and fun "tipple time" with her close friends. Pat was a eccentric, fun, and loving person whose life and energetic spirit cannot be described or adequately celebrated. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Cayce Pitts; and companion, Thomas Keim. She is survived by her daughter, Gwynne Davis Pitts, Hillsboro; son, Andrew Davis, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Taylor-Davis, Indiana, Pa.; sister, Margaret "Mimi" Marshall, brother-in-law, Timothy Marshall, Clinton, Wash.; and grandchildren, Sierra Davis, Cayce Pitts, Denali Davis, Tavan Davis, and Taylor Pitts. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at the Walters Cultural Arts Center. Memorial contributions may be made to radio station All Classical Portland. Tualitin Valley Funeral Alternatives in Hillsboro, 503-693-7965, is in charge of the arrangements.
